So, also in life you find a multitude of persons
who don’t have enough character to stand alone;
these attach themselves to a group
by which they feel strengthened and now cut a figure.

So auch findet man im Leben eine Masse von Personen,
die nicht Charakter genug haben, um allein zu stehen;
diese werfen sich gleichfalls an eine Partei,
wodurch sie sich gestärkt fühlen und nun eine Figur machen.
